Young people lobby governments hard

Young people joined UN-HABITAT and its partners for a week of hard lobbying of member governments in the Governing Council that oversees the agency’s work programme. Their message: with ever growing numbers of young people in the world’s growing cities, young voices must be heeded.

Experts Group Meeting on the Implementation of the Guidelines on Decentralization

The primary objectives of the proposed meeting are to support the follow-up actions to resolution 21/3 of the Governing Council of UN-HABITAT, which approves the Guidelines on decentralization and strengthening of local authorities, as a key instrument to promote good governance at all levels and to strengthen local authorities.
