4th African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (AMCHUD 4)

The fourth African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (AMCHUD) kicked off in Nairobi on Tuesday.
Under the theme, Territorial planning, basic services for all and the impacts and the impacts of climate change in Africa the conference brought together participants from all over the continent as well as those from partner institutions.

President Kibaki officially opens AMCHUD’s fourth session

President Mwai Kibaki on Thursday officially opened the Fourth Session of the African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (AMCHUD IV) in Nairobi.

President Kibaki assured that his Government will step up the slum upgrading initiatives through the Kenya Slum Upgrading Programme and the Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Programme.
