Vancouver + 30: The Changing Role of Cities and Global Sustainable Development
Organized in cooperation with the Government of Canada
Ministers will address key issues relating to the changing role of cities in a globalised world. Sustainable urbanization will be discussed in the context of experiences and lessons learned from national, international and other jurisdictional perspectives: How can national governments support sustainable cities? What is the potential for partnerships between national governments and other jurisdictions in support of urban sustainability? How can national governments link their international agendas to the local level - e.g. working with cities to address the Millennium Development Goals?
