Special Sessions

There were five so-called special sessions, open, high-level meetings held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. These covered water and sanitation in the world's cities, the role of local governments in a sustainable urban future, one that looked at the transition from Vancouver to the next Forum in Nanjing, China in 2008, and one that looked at the future of cities. All were addressed by some of the world's leading urban thinkers and leaders.
