 UN-HABITAT on Tuesday announced the sudden passing of our Habitat Programme Manager in the Eritrea. Eyob Kahsai, who has served since 2004, died on Saturday 1 October 2011.
"It is with deep sorrow that we learn of Eyob's passing. An excellent and dedicated staff member, he will be greatly missed by the United Nations family in Eritrea, and by his colleagues at UN-HABITAT. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," Executive Director Dr. Joan Clos said in a statement.
Born in 1958, Eyob leaves his wife Tiebe and their three children. |
