UN-HABITAT under Water for Asian Cities Programme has planned a workshop on Human Values-based Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education (HVWSHE) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh (India) from 9-12 December 2006. The workshop will bring together professionals from Centre for Environment Education (CEE) Ahmedabad, education professionals, curriculum designers, teachers and trainers currently involved in developing HVWSHE Classrooms in the four cities of Madhya Pradesh. The workshop aims at further developing the HVWSHE Classrooms setup in Madhya Pradesh so as to add the human values content and other elements besides training the teachers. The workshop will prepare an action plan for suitably modifying the school curriculum so as to fully introduce HVWSHE in regular classes at different levels including primary, secondary and senior secondary. |
