A group of 28 participants from 15 countries, including representatives from local authorities and central governments, completed a two-week training course for on Sustainable Communities. The course organized jointly by Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), UN-HABITAT and the UN Environment Programme, was funded by the Government of Finland. The Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok and the University of Nairobi were suggested as venues in the coming two years, subject to continued funding by Helsinki. |
