Ahead of the closing of the Shanghai Expo next month, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Pavilion, Mr. Awni Behnam, took part in a forum to discuss the legacy of this international event. Held earlier this week in Shanghai, the forum gathered key media, private sector, university and Expo representatives.
Mr. Behnam noted that "these six months will forever be remembered as an adventure of human interaction, one in which the UN demonstrated its unity in purpose in an unprecedented manner". The Shanghai Expo is due to close on October 31 with an expected 70 million visitors. |
