| The Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Dr. Joan clos, today received credentials from the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Italy to UN-Habitat, H.E. Ms. Paola Imperiale. Dr. Clos wished her a successful duty tour to UN-Habitat and to Kenya.
The Italian city of Naples has kindly offered to host the next World Urban Forum which will take place in 2012. The announcement was made during the recent UN-HABITAT Governing Council and plans are underway for the event. This will be the sixth meeting of the World Urban Forum which is the leading international congress on urban development. |
