From China, the Nanning Municipal People’s Government was awarded for developing China’s first Integrated City Emergency Response System to streamline under one roof all the city’s police and fire emergencies, para-medic ambulance responses and traffic accident reporting systems, along with 30 other non-emergency public services that were previously managed by a variety of different administrative departments.

Pakistan Submission Details
From Pakistan, Lieutenant-General Nadeem Ahmed, Deputy Chairman, Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), was personally awarded the 2007 UN-HABITAT Scroll of Honour for demonstrating great leadership and compassion in face of calamity to help millions of people rebuild their homes and lives after the 2005 earthquake.
Palestine Submission Details
The Palestinian Housing Council (PHC) was awarded for exceptional endeavours in helping provide homes, apartments, employment prospects and bringing new hope to countless Palestinian families.
