Youths converge on UN Africa headquarters in Kenya to launch a peace campaign

UN-HABITAT and UNICEF held a peace meeting at UN headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday in an effort to persuade young Kenyans to be ambassadors for peace in their troubled country. And the stories and tears flowed as young people recounted what happened as post-election violence ushered in a grim new year for the East African country.
Transparency in land administration

Some 30 participants from the West Africa region last week congregated at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), for a an eye-opening training on transparency in land administration. Organised jointly by UN-HABITAT and the International Institute for Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) the workshop attracted participants from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
