The United Nations Pavilion welcomed its two millionth visitor last Tuesday. What was to be a stroll through the Expo Park, turned out to be an auspicious day for the 26 year-old Peng Liu from Xuzhou, Jiangsu province who was singled out from the crowd of visitors waiting outside as the two millionth person to visit the pavilion since the start of the Expo.

Practitioners from the fields of design, planning and architecture gathered at the United Nations Pavilion yesterday to share ideas on building more sustainable, resourceful, and user-friendly cities. The event chaired by Prof. Ezio Mancini of Politecnico di Milano, Italy was part of a three-day conference taking place in Shanghai.
