This study is an attempt to analyze the relationship between macroeconomic factors and urban growth in the contemporary world, selecting 17 countries to provide some insights. It reviews current thinking on the relationship between stabilization policies and economic growth. In addition, it points to new insights into the theory of investment behaviour, which is central to formulating appropriate macroeconomic policies meant to promote sustainable urbanization.
