UN-HABITAT in partnership with the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), Indore and Jabalpur has taken the initiative for supplying safe drinking water at most affordable rates to the urban poor families in the city of Indore and Jabalpur by setting up Community-managed Pro-poor Water purification and Bottling Schemes (CPWBS) under Water for Asian Cities Programme using traditional water sources with appropriate distribution systems.
