Promoting sustainable urban mobility is highly relevant for UN‐HABITAT’s call for sustainable urban regions across the Globe. Functioning networks for urban mobility and logistics are a precondition for economic activity, access to housing and employment opportunities and social participation in cities and towns. At the same time, policy interventions are needed since the economic and social benefits of mobility are frequently accompanied by congestion, social exclusion, accidents, air pollution and increased energy consumption.
