Ulaanbaatar is the capital and the largest city in Mongolia. It is located in the north central part of the country, elevated at 1,310 m (nearly 4,000 ft) above sea level and lies in the Tuul River valley.
Ulaanbaatar is probably the coldest capital in the world. It has four seasons with a continental and semi-arid climate.
